About this vintage design furniture
1950s standing cocktail bar by Umberto Mascagni Bologna Italy and imported to the UK produced by Barget Ltd. then sold by Harrod's.
This Cocktail Bar is shaped like the prow of a cruise ship on three tapered brass legs with portholes, an anchor, cabin windows and a faux mahogany deck.
The wood stand is clad in nautical "skai", a textured vinyl, and the trim is brass-colored aluminum strips.
Behind the bar are two open storage spaces painted white and divided by a horizontal shelf. There's a bottle opener mounted on one side and neon lighting under the hood where you mix drinks.

About the designer
Umberto MASCAGNI
Umberto Mascagni is an Italian designer born in 1948 in Viareggio, Tuscany. He graduated from the Florence Academy of Fine Arts in 1972, where he studied sculpture and painting. After graduating, he worked as an industrial designer for several Italian companies.
