Magnificent painting on silk, and this, in turn, adhered to handmade paper framed in a fine gold border. It depicts a very realistic lion in profile that turns its head to look towards the viewer. Signed in pencil in the lower right corner by L. R. Laffitte. La Roche Laffitte was born in France in 1943. She is a contemporary artist, recognized for painting mainly animals, birds and flowers. Her usual support is handmade paper, although on some occasions she chooses to overlay silk. With her very detailed and precise studies, she invites you into the magical world of cultural objects, flora and fauna. The treasures of nature along with tribal attires are the main inspiration for her. Overall dimensions: 42 x 56 x 1 cm. Dimensions without frame: 29 x 42 cm.
