About this vintage design furniture
These sconces were designed by Maija Liisa Komulainen for Raak Amsterdam in the 60s. Their design is inspired by organ pipes. Tubular in shape, they are made of dark-brown brushed aluminum, with a white lacquered interior. Light escapes through external openings at each end.

About the designer
Maija Liisa KOMULAINEN
Maija Liisa Komulainen was a Finnish designer who was born in 1932 and died in 2019. She studied at the Helsinki School of Art and Design before starting her career as a textile designer for the Finnish company Tampella.
