Vintage display cabinet by Morris Of Glasgow, 1950

A superb piece of vintage and mid-century furniture in a showcase from Morris of Glasgow, the showcase consists of two large storage sections with each section having two sliding glass doors and with a single shelf inside, each shelf is fully adjustable and can be moved to the desired height. The cabinet is of the highest quality craftsmanship, each shelf being satinwood with rope detailing on each front, beautiful dovetail joints are visible in each corner of the cabinet and a fabulous variety of woods have been used in the construction of the satinwoods, walnut, ebony and Australian walnut that cover the exterior of the cabinet. The bookcase was handcrafted by Morris of Glasgow and bears the manufacturer's trademark. It is part of the Cumbrae furniture range, named after the islands of the Firth of Clyde, launched in the 1950s and designed by Neil Morris, son of the founder of Morris Furniture. The shelf is a fabulous piece of vintage and mid-century furniture with a fabulous look and design that would suit any home or environment.
