Angel PAZMINO

Pazmino began working in his father's carpentry workshop at the age of 12. He then studied design at the Quito School of Fine Arts. He then opened his own furniture design and production studio, which quickly became famous for its innovative and elegant creations.

Pazmino's work is often characterized by the use of high-quality woods, notably laurel and cedar, and by hand-carved motifs that reflect the influence of pre-Columbian and colonial designs. His style is often described as both modern and traditional.

Pazmino has won numerous awards and distinctions for his design work, including Ecuador's National Plastic Arts Prize in 1969. His creations have been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Angel Pazmino is considered one of the greatest Ecuadorian designers of the 20th century, and his work continues to influence designers and craftsmen worldwide.
