Bruno MUNARI

He began his career as a graphic designer and illustrator for magazines and newspapers. In 1940, he set up his own graphic design agency in Milan. Munari quickly made a name for himself with projects in industrial design, furniture, tableware and children's toys.

Over the course of his career, Munari worked with many renowned companies, including Olivetti, Danese Milano and Artemide. He is also known for his many collaborations with architects such as Franco Albini and Ignazio Gardella.

Munari has also written several books on art, design and creativity, including "Da cosa nasce cosa" (1960), which has been translated into several languages and is still widely studied today.

Munari has received numerous awards for his work, including the prestigious Compasso d'Oro, which has been awarded to him four times. His work has been exhibited in museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.

Bruno Munari is considered one of the great innovators of post-war Italian design, and his influence continues to inspire designers and artists the world over.
