He studied at the School of Beaux-Arts in Lyon. He entered into the familial Company specialized in contemporary furniture production. In 1954, he joined the French Ligne Roset furniture brand. Until the end of his career, he was responsible for the design department. During the 60s and the 70s, new materials arrived. Ducaroy has focused on these innovations; foam, wadding, thermoformed plastic… Thanks to his approach of materials and shapes, his creations are modern and timeless. Critics and public have been quickly seduced by his seats. The legendary Togo sofa has been exhibited during the Home Economics Show in 1973.
