About this vintage design furniture
The Cité armchair is one of the first masterpieces of the designer Jean Prouvé. Originally designed for the furnishings of the university city of Nancy, Prouvé himself used this comfortable and generous chair. Epoxy-finished sheet metal structure and armrests formed by leather straps. Very good general condition for this model of 2006, small traces of use. Seating height: 34 cm

About the designer
Jean PROUVE
1901 - 1984Jean Prouvé (1901-1984) was a French designer and builder. Born in Nancy, he began working in his father's iron workshop before studying art and design at the École de Nancy. In the 1920s, he began designing metal furniture and founded his own company, Ateliers Jean Prouvé, in 1923.
