About this vintage design furniture
Leon Willems has opted for monochrome work in white. In these works, a third dimension is created by the addition of various materials and paints such as lacquer, thread and sturdy cardboard. Light enters the work with different shadow lines and contrasts. The paintings become self-contained sculptures that are sober, calm and at the same time playful.
