About this vintage design furniture
Iconic floor lamp by famous designer Alvar Aalto,manufactured by Valaistustyö in Finland,in 1956.This was originally made for Helsinki’s Social Insurance Institution Building in 1955.The eye-catching shape of the hood gave it the nickname “Angel Wing”.The white color of the hood and the golden brass top of the arm add to it’s angelic style.The rest of the base is made of black lacquered metal.
