Göran MALMVALL

Malmvall studied at the Konstfack School of Design in Stockholm, where he acquired a solid grounding in industrial design. After graduating, he began his career working for various furniture design and manufacturing companies in Sweden.

In the 1950s, Malmvall began working for the famous Swedish design company IKEA. He was involved in the design of many iconic products for the brand, contributing to its worldwide success. His designs were often characterized by their elegant simplicity, functionality and accessibility.

One of Malmvall's most famous creations is the "Lilla Åland" chair, also known as the "Åland Chair". This lightweight, easy-to-store folding chair has become a Swedish design classic. It is still regarded today as an example of timeless design.

Over the years, Malmvall has received numerous awards and recognitions for his outstanding work in the field of design. His influence extends beyond Sweden, his creations being appreciated internationally.
