Henry Walter Klein is a Norwegian designer renowned for his innovative approach of methods for producing furniture.
Klein designed several pieces of furniture for living rooms, bedrooms but also churches and hotels. He also created pieces for the Prince of Saudi Arabia. His sideboards, armchairs, chairs and tables are timeless Scandinavian creations. Biography Henry Walter Klein was born in Norway in 1919. During the Second World War, he joined the Royal Navy of Norway as a cabinetmaker. Two years later, he went to the Technical School of Denmark where Finn Juhl taught. In 1959, he finished his design studies and founded his own workshop. He developed new methods for producing but his ideas was really expensive. To address this problem, he invited the greatest name of Scandinavian design to discover his new approach of plastic. It was such a great success: Fitz Hansen purchased the patents! During the economic crisis of the 1980s, Klein wen to the United-Stated and produced furniture for American people.
