Rörstrand Rubus Vase from the 1960’s by Swedish designer Gunnar Nylund (1904-1997) H:18 cm. 7cmD. Weight. 1125 g. Glazed stonewear. Signed underneath. A cigar shaped beautiful vase from the RUBUS range designed and signed by Gunnar Nylund for Rörstrand. It displays and silky, textured surface with brown, cream and faint glaze.

About the designer
Gunnar NYLUND
Gunnar Nylund (1904-1997) was a Swedish designer known for his contributions to the Scandinavian ceramics industry. Born in Paris, Nylund spent his childhood in France and studied sculpture at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 1925, he returned to Sweden and began working in the ceramics industry in Upsala-Ekeby.
