Willy Rizzo is a great Italo-French designer and photographer from the 20th Century. The artist is famous for his original and unique creative genius.
The designer created the iconic rectangular coffee table with a wood structure and metal covering (the 1970s). In his opinion, antique and Scandinavian furniture were uncomfortable. This is the reason why he decided to design pieces of furniture. Biography Willy Rizzo was born in Naples in 1928. When he was a child, he went to Paris with his family. He developed an interest for photography and he decided to work very hard. He photographed a variety of events: the Nuremberg Trial but also Fashion events for Marie-Claire and Vogue. In 1968, the artist moved to Rome and decided to design pieces of furniture. At the end of the 1970s, Rizzo came back to Paris and dedicated his work to photography.
