Gunter RENKEL

After graduating, he worked as a freelance designer, collaborating with companies such as Braun, Rosenthal, Lufthansa and Siemens. He also taught industrial design at the Hamburg College of Fine Arts from 1972 to 1980.

Renkel was influenced by the German functional design movement, which emphasized simplicity and functionality in industrial product design. His work is characterized by clean forms and attention to detail, as well as a skilful use of materials.

He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Munich Culture Prize in 1998 and the German Design Prize in 2007. His creations have also been shown at numerous design exhibitions throughout Germany and around the world.
