About this vintage design furniture
Vintage sideboard by Umberto Mascagni for Barget from the 1950s. Features four glazed doors and one door which conceals four drawers. The sideboard is covered with vinyl. Has a glass top and black tapering legs on brass feet. The interior is in faux leather. In 1952 Mascagni created a new line of furniture using new materials and was retailed through Harrods, London in the 1950s.

About the designer
Umberto MASCAGNI
Umberto Mascagni is an Italian designer born in 1948 in Viareggio, Tuscany. He graduated from the Florence Academy of Fine Arts in 1972, where he studied sculpture and painting. After graduating, he worked as an industrial designer for several Italian companies.
