About this vintage design furniture
This chairs are held by the V&A as part of their Furniture and Woodwork Collection. The designer Clive Bacon won the Design Centre Award for the chair in 1963. They are a linking and stacking chair, with a steamed beech frame and upholstered in black PVC. They were manufactured in England by Design Furnishing Contracts Limited.
