About this vintage design furniture

Re-upholstered set Gispen 1451 armchairs designed by Coen de Vries for Gispen in 1967. The frame is made of iron (chrome tube) and the seat and back are made of steel. The green cushions are reversible and re-upholstered with new green Ploeg fabric.

About the designer

Coen DE VRIES

Coen de Vries was a Dutch industrial designer, born in 1918 and died in 2004. He studied at the Amsterdam School of Arts and Crafts and worked for various design companies, including Gispen, Spectrum and Pilastro.
