About this vintage design furniture
This "Minerva" side table, in a cubic form, was designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen in 1961. It was manufactured by France & Son and has a solid teak frame. The legs are slightly tapered and the storage compartment is covered with white Formica. This piece has a manufacturer’s plaque.

About the designer
Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
