Olaf VON BOHR

It was with the latter company that he gained international renown for his clean, functional designs for household appliances, which helped define the Bauhaus style. His designs for Braun, such as the S50 electric shaver and the TS45 radio, are today considered icons of industrial design.

Olaf von Bohr also taught design at Berlin's University of the Arts and was a member of several professional associations such as the Deutsche Werkbund and the Association of German Industrial Designers.

His contribution to the aesthetics of modern industrial design was recognized by numerous prizes and awards, including the German Industrial Design Prize in 1963 and the Berlin International Electronics Fair Prize in 1965.
