About this vintage design furniture
Estelle and Erwine Laverne produced exceptionally beautiful, innovative midcentury-modern fabrics and furniture since the 50s. They found that furniture should not obstruct the space effect of a modern interior visually. This set for Formes Nouvelles called The Invisable Series. The leather cushions have created a patina trough time.

Estelle LAVERNE
1915 - 1997Erwine (b. 1887) and Estelle (b. 1896) Laverne were an American design couple who worked together from the late 1920s until Erwine's death in 1951. They were active in the fields of interior decoration, furniture design and textile design.
