Marcello FANTONI

Fantoni studied at Florence's Academy of Fine Arts before taking up ceramics production in the late 1930s. During his career, he worked with numerous companies and produced a wide variety of objects, from vases and bowls to monumental sculptures.

Fantoni was known for his distinctive style that blended modern forms with traditional manufacturing techniques. He was a leader of the Italian ceramics movement of the 1950s and 1960s, which saw a revival of interest in the decorative arts.

Fantoni won numerous awards for his work during his lifetime, including the gold medal at the Milan Triennale in 1954 and the Grand Prix at the Brussels World Fair in 1958. Today, his creations are considered collector's items and are exhibited in many museums around the world.
