Donato D'Urbino (1935-) was an architect and designer, who worked with a number of major Italian designers, including Ettore Sottsass and Gaetano Pesce.

Paolo Lomazzi (1936-) was an architect and designer, who worked with many of the great names in Italian design, including Ettore Sottsass and Gaetano Pesce.

Together, they founded their own design studio in 1966, where they began working on projects ranging from furniture and vehicle design to decorative objects. They enjoyed great success in the 70s, thanks to their collaboration with the Italian company Zanotta, for whom they created several iconic pieces of furniture, such as the "Blow" armchair in 1967.

They also designed projects for other major Italian companies, including Artemide, Poltronova and Alessi. Their work has been exhibited in museums around the world, including New York's MoMA and London's Victoria and Albert Museum.

De Pas died in 1991, but D'Urbino and Lomazzi continue to work together in their Milan studio, where they continue their innovative and experimental design work.
