About this vintage design furniture

A set of dining chairs designed by Frantisek Jirak, manufactured by Tatra in former Czechoslovakia, circa 1960. The shape of each chair resembles a lollipop. Backrests and seats are slightly curved and have been fully restored, retaining original screws. Each chair newly reupholstered in powdery pink fabric.

František Jiránek (1898-1978) was a Czech designer who worked in the 1920s and 1930s. He is best known for his work in furniture design, but also designed objects in glass and ceramics.
