Marc Berthier is a French designer and architect. He is renowned to be the first designer to create a plastic furniture collection at affordable prices.
In 1967, he designed the Ozoo line, a plastic furniture collection. He quickly met with great success, in fact, a city near Paris bought him the children’s desk. Then, he designed original pieces such as the Tykho Euro calculator in 1995, the Tykho radio in 1997 and the Captain Hook armchair in 1999. Biography Marc Berthier is an architect and designer born in 1935 in France. He studied at the School of Beaux Arts in Paris. He benefits from an exceptional notoriety, he received many prizes including the Grand Prix National de Création Industrielle, two Compasso d’Oro, the Gabriel Prize, the Art and Industry medal, the New York Accent Design and several prizes in Germany. He is considered as a reference in design on the international stage. Several pieces of furniture are exhibited at major museums such as the Museum of Modern Art in New-York. In addition to design, he is also an architect and a design teacher.
