About this vintage design furniture
4 bow wood chairs by Hugues Steiner. A French manufacturer, 1950. Structure in beech curved and tinted oak color, seat and backrest covered with leatherette, small patterns red, vermilion red. Traditional interior with spring and horsehair. Original condition. In good general condition: some screws on the tightened part of the legs were replaced at one time, some usage marks.

About the designer
Hugues STEINER
1926 - 1991Hugues Steiner was a French designer born in Mulhouse in 1933 and died in Paris in 2014. He studied at the Strasbourg School of Applied Arts, then worked as a graphic designer and art director in several advertising agencies in France and Switzerland.
