René FUMERON

Through his work, this cardboard painter tackles a theme that is close to his heart: nature. Water, fire and vegetation are recurrent elements in his creations. His work reflects a real sensitivity and a taste for precision. Biography René Fumeron was born in a small French commune in 1921. During his youth, he followed his father, an administrative officer in the French Health Service, to Paris. He developed a passion for painting and became famous for the gemmails and tapestries he produced. He organizes Biennales and creates posters for the International Folklore Festival, as well as taking on numerous private and public commissions. He was also one of the artists involved in creating the tapestries for the apartments of the liner France.
