About this vintage design furniture

This sofa was designed by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset in the 70s. He devoted 26 years of his life to heading Ligne Roset's design department. It was in 1973 that the designer conceived his most iconic creation: the Togo sofa. According to Michel Ducaroy, this model was directly inspired by a toothpaste tube folded in on itself. Ducaroy offers several variations of this piece: sofa (2-seater or 3-seater), pouffe. The Togo won the René-Gabriel prize for its undeniable innovation in being the 1st sofa to be entirely made of foam. Ligne Roset has been the exclusive publisher of the Togo sofa since its creation, and it is still produced to this day. The Togo sofa has a polyester foam structure covered with a fabric or leather cover. In very good condition, entirely reupholstered in our workshop with striped fabric.Foam composition: Entirely made up of foams of 3 different densities (polyether 21 kg/m3 - 3.2 kPa, polyether 28 kg/m3 - 4.8 kPa and high resilience polyurethane 26 kg/m3 - 1.4 kPa).
