About this vintage design furniture
French Art Deco metal and marble statue depicting Diana the elegant lady hunting a gazelle with a spear. The sculpture is signed in the marble base with Uriano et Rochard. The names stand for Uriano (pseudonym of Ugo Cirpriani 1887-1960) was an Italian who worked in France and Irenée Rochard (1906-1984) was a French decorative sculptor best known for his depictions of animals in the Art Nouveau style. The sculptures have suffered some light oxidation in recent years due to storage and some paint loss around the lady, everything can be seen in the photo. The marble base has a few very small chips all around.
In reasonable condition for its age.
