Cleopatra vintage steel daybed by Dick Cordemeijer for Auping, 1953

Cleopatra daybed in good condition with a matte gray steel frame and teak panels on the foot and head ends. The steel frame shows slight signs of wear, as do the teak panels. The bed's steel springs are pristine and bear the Auping logo. The foam padding was renewed some time ago and covered with a nice yellow/white cotton fabric, which can be quickly replaced with a zipper. The fabric has been cleaned and shows few signs of wear. AR Cordemeijer designed this daybed in 1953 for Dutch manufacturer Auping and created a lightweight, timeless and variable piece of furniture that met the taste of the time and still has many fans today.
