Vintage ashtray Rotocenere by Joe Colombo for Kartell, Italy 1966

Rotocenere ashtray by Joe Colombo for the Italian company Kartell. He designed this ashtray in 1966 always with the aim of creating objects that respond to everyday problems while using innovative materials and techniques for the time. This model is no longer produced. This cylindrical ashtray is made of three distinct elements. The body is made of white lacquered metal while the lid is made of white compressed plastic. The lid is made of two parts and can be rotated 360° around the base to seal the ashtray when not in use. This position also prevents the smoke from escaping, but also extinguishes the butts still lit. In very good condition, contains age and use. Reference : 280250
