Scandinavian Modern Rosewood Dining Chair by Harry Østergaard for Randers Møbelfabrik, Denmark 1960s. Very elegant Danish Mid-Century Modern chair, with curved backrest in beautiful rosewood veneer. Thin round tapered legs in solid rosewood. Slightly curved seat resting on delicate X-shaped base. Seat are upholstered with new high density foam and off-white bouclé. High quality materials and joinery. Very impressive craftsmanship from the golden age of Danish furniture architecture. Suitable as an extra dining chair, a desk chair or side chair. Very comfortable with good back support. Very good original condition. Wood has been cleaned and polished. Seat has been reupholstered. Ready for use. Reference : 273460

About the designer

Harry OSTERGAARD

Harry Ostergaard was a Danish industrial designer born in Copenhagen in 1925 and died in 1993. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and worked for several design companies, including the famous furniture company Fritz Hansen.
