Together with the new deep green faux leather upholstery, these chairs look unused. Cor Alons (1892 - 1967) was an interior designer, industrial designer, furniture designer and teacher at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. As a representative of functionalism, Alons designed simple furniture with sober lines and solid constructions, using valuable materials and a variety of colours. In 1929 he became a teacher at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and became an important teacher of Rob Parry. In 1962 he was honored for his 70th birthday with an exhibition in the Municipal Museum of The Hague. Today you can see his work in the Centraal Museum Utrecht. Reference : 272812
