Pair of Danish Modern Ceramic Table Lamps by Einar Johansen for Søholm, 1960s.
Set of two Mid-century modern Danish blue ceramic table lamps designed by Einar Johansen, made by Søholm, Denmark. Soholm is a Danish pottery on the island of Bornholm founded in 1835.
These lamps are from the EJ64 series which can be seen by the wellknown rich glossy blue glaze. They are stamped with "Made in Denmark", "Stentøj", "EJ" (shaped as an eye, which is the signature of Einar Johansen). And model no. 1020.
Diameter 25, height 44 cm including shade. The ceramic part has a diameter of 16 cm and a height 26 cm. E26/27 socket. Slight difference in the height of the sockets.
Beautiful set of classic Scandinavian Modern stoneware lighting.
Good original working order with no damages.

Einar JOHANSEN
Einar Hoffmann Johansen (1905-1992) was a Norwegian industrial designer. He is best known for his work in the 1950s and 1960s for the Norum company, where he designed numerous products, including televisions and radios.
