About this vintage design furniture
Elio Martinelli created the Serpente lamp in 1965 in Italy, and it has been produced by his company Martinelli Luce since 1968. This floor lamp is made using an acrylice processes that was new at the time it was designed. The Serpente evokes the ambiance of those years, which were crucial to the international success of Italian design. Because of the articulating arm that allows the shade to revolve as needed, the Serpente floor lamp by Martinelli is true Italian Design statement piece. This Serpente floor lamp has really very little signs of wear consistent with age.
