Carlo Bimbi and Nilo Giocchini are both Italian designers. Bimbi is renowned for his creative but also logical approach. Giocchini is known for his pragmatic process.
During the 80s, they designed together the Charlie office chairs, produced by Segis. The curves of this model are really original. These chairs are aesthetic but also easily stackable. Biography Bimbi was born in 1944 in Italy. He is graduated from the Art Institute of Florence. His work is influenced by a rational approach, he is focused on logical more than trends. He was one of the designers displayed at the exhibition “Italy: The new domestic landscape” at the MoMa. Giocchini has studied art in Florence. His creations are the reflection of his methodological and concrete approach. He wants to digress from trends and conventionalism. His work appeared in a variety of magazines consecrated to design. He collaborated with great producers such as Ceramica Catalano and Hatria Marazzi. Bimbi and Giocchini began their collaboration in 1970 by the creation of the Internotredici Associati Studio (closed in 1985). They are both appreciated by the design world.
