L’obiettivo di Zanuso è sempre stato quello di sperimentare di continuo per tradurre in forma gli elementi tecnici, i materiali e le nuove tecnologie per dare vita ad “archetipi di oggetti”, come la Seggiolina K 1340, poi diventata K 4999 per Kartell. Sviluppata con Sapper nel 1960, è la prima sedia al mondo ad essere interamente realizzata in polietilene stampato ad iniezione, applicazione avveniristica che spiana la strada all’uso della plastica per i mobili di casa e ufficio. Facilmente impilabile e resistente, la sedia diventa un gioco in grado di stimolare la fantasia dei bambini.
