About this vintage design furniture
Rare Hiemstra Evolux floor lamp model ST 7128 designed by Niek Hiemstra for Hiemstra Evolux in the 1960s. The four light bulbs can be switched separately by means of a pull switch. Three bulbs for direct light for reading and/or one bulb for indirect light to the ceiling. The condition is still good and original with normal traces of use (see photo’s). Colour: Gray, white and black. Material: metal and aluminium. Dimensions: height x diameter shade = 162 x 50 cm. Source: Catalogue 1 lighting industry Hiemstra Evolux.

About the designer
Niek Hiemstra
Niek Hiemstra is a Dutch designer born in 1960. He studied product design at the Groningen Academy of Fine Arts in the Netherlands, graduating in 1984. After working for a few years as a freelance designer, Hiemstra joined the Gispen product design company in 1988.
