About this vintage design furniture
White Alvar Aalto bar stool – high model K65, designed in 1932 – 1933 and produced by Artek (Finland). This stool is from the seventies. Unlike Thonet, Alvar Aalto bent the wood not with the help of steam, but by means of the natural moisture of the Finnish Birch (sawing and water). Birch wood material. These stools were first made in birch and later also made in (birch) painted white. Considering its age, this vintage bar stool on four legs is still in very good and original condition with normal traces of use and wear. Dimensions: h x w x d = 71 x 37 x 40 cm. The seat height is 60 cm and the diameter of the seat is 34.5 cm. Source book Alvar Aalto, Poligrafa pages 60, 61 and 121.
