Vintage Arts and Crafts highboard in rattan wood, bamboo and glass, England

English sideboard made around the 1920s, in the context of the Arts and Crafts movement. The piece is made of woven rattan in a combination of different colors, as can be seen in the details of the handles (orange and green) and the bamboo. It is beautifully made and in excellent condition. The tray is made of a single piece of wood. Large in capacity and size, it has three lower doors with shelves inside, all lined with white and green striped fabric, following the ideals of the Aesthetic movement. The central part is enamelled with a grid decoration or floral details; original of the time. These decorative patterns on the glass were made using the acid etching technique. The upper part has three large drawers. Unique in its design, materials and workmanship. The Arts movement Reference : 264176
