Vintage "Sandwich" sofa by Peter van der Ham for Artifort, Netherlands 1980s

An iconic 2-seater sofa, model “Sandwich” (model 750), designed by Peter van der Ham and manufactured by Artifort in the Netherlands around 1980. A comfortable piece with a nice modern yet minimalist style. The black wooden base holds a red wool upholstered seat. It’s the interlocking structure between base and seat that makes this design so unique! It was originally designed by artist Van der Ham for an exhibition of Metz&Co and later was taken into limited production by Artifort. This piece remains in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. Reference : 264029
