About this vintage design furniture

Extraordinary terracotta sculpture with a bronze patina, "Lioness with her lions" by Antoine Amorgasti, born in 1880 in Pisa and died in Antwerp, Belgium in 1942. He studied sculpture at the Academy of Berchem and in Antwerp in the studio of Josue Dupon.He is known and appreciated for his sculptures of animals in bronze and terracotta patinated as if it were bronze, as is the case here, this sculpture is in terracotta patinated in greens and browns that simulate bronze. It represents a lioness with her cubs, of a great naturalism and a great artistic emotion.the work is signed, numbered and marked DEPOSE.A true collector's item. Reference : 263833
