Vintage bentwood bistro desk chair by Ungvar, 1895

Office chair in bentwood, bistro type around 1900 by Ungvar, the first manufacturer in Hungary at the end of the XIX, it enters under the aegis of Mundus in 1907. This well-balanced armchair, with a 49 cm seat and a total length of 58 cm, is particularly comfortable and ergonomic. The interior passage between the two armrests is only 42 cm, an exception. It is apparently not very welcoming, but it is a great place to work. New cane seat (handmade wire to wire -2.25 X2.5mm weaving SR), remarkable walnut patina, unique roundness to this manufacturer very great designer and creator of office chairs around 1900 (see catalog) General condition perfect. Seat height: 47 cm, total height: 81 cm height at the front of the arms: 75 cm which come down to 73 cm high at the back. Label of the brand in poor condition but readable. We can equip this chair with screwed glides (German origin), adapted by their material to the room where it will be used. Work done after purchase. More photos and information on request.
