Vintage Hayat Brothers Roorkee campaign safari armchair

An original Hayat Roorkee Campaign Safari Chair from the 1960s in excellent condition. The black leather shows a nice, minimal patina on both chairs. The wooden frames, in mahogany, are in very good condition. The tensioning cables are all in order, all fittings are secure and undamaged. The Safari Roorkee chair was developed by Hayat Brothers in Pakistan for British officials in 1933 and was used on safaris. Hayat developed a model that can be quickly dismantled, yet is stable and comfortable. High-quality materials such as rosewood, mahogany and the best leather were used. Reference : 263108
