About this vintage design furniture
Rare 1930s corner wardrobe in oak by Heal and Son Ltd. Inside this wardrobe is an extending hanging rail, three oak shelves on each side with chrome rail supports and a chrome shoe rack at the base. The shoe rack can be positioned upright against the back. On the inner door hangs a chromed finished shelf with chrome rail, tie / belt rack and vanity mirror. There is slight foxing to the edges of the mirror.
This compact oak corner wardrobe fits snuggly into a corner, it cleverly has been made with an additional oak strip down each side which is shaped towards the bottom to allow space for the skirting board. These strips can be removed for a flush fit. Wear and patina consistent with age.
All the fixings and fittings are original.
English 1930s.
