About this vintage design furniture
Magnificent original piece from the 60s produced by the prestigious German label Wilhelm Knoll Company. Here is a high-backed armchair, sculpted in solid cherry wood, with clean, organic lines clearly Scandinavian-inspired. Its striking armrests stand out (inspired by the FD-146 model that the Danish Orla Molgaard-Nielsen and Peter Hvidt designed for France & Daverkosen in 1954) in a curved descent from the top of the backrest; also its comfortable design giving us a solid seat, thanks to the seat padding that combines springs with foam. Undoubtedly an armchair that balances aesthetics and functionality, typical characteristics of Scandinavian furniture so appreciated at the time and today.
