About this vintage design furniture
Originally designed by Hans J. Wegner for the 1947 Copenhagen Cabinet Makers Guild Exhibition, the JH-813 chair was initially conceived to be made in wood. It wasn’t until the 1970s that the chairs began to be manufactured by the Danish company Johannes Hansen.
A fantastic example of mid-century Danish design, the JH-813 chair features a slimline steel frame with integrated armrests and sleigh-style legs.
The sling seat and backrest are constructed from hand stitched black saddle leather, which perfectly juxtaposes the metal.
This rare pair of JH-813 chairs will add a touch of classic vintage Danish design to any contemporary dining room or living space.
