Ps vintage modular system in teak by Preben Sørensen for Randers Mobelfabrik, Denmark 1960s

A substantial modular six bay PS System designed by Preben Sørensen in the 1950s and manufactured in Denmark by Randers Møbelfabrik during the 1960s. This versatile system can be configured in countless combinations with each of the shelves and cabinets hung on metal pins inserted into holes along the batons. This particular set is a very clean looking design with no handles – the doors secured simply by magnets. The teak veneer doors are beautifully bookmatched and the doors hung on simple brass pins. The shelves sit on teak brackets secured by PS System's patented fixing - a three pin metal plate that engages with the bracket and wall rail. There are 29 pieces in total, including the wall batons. Bought new by the previous owner, and has been in the same house its entire life. Overall in very good, clean vintage condition and has obviously been well looked after. There is a period scratch to one of the door fronts, which can be seen in the last image.
