About this vintage design furniture

A scarce bench, day bed by Charlotte Perriand for Steph Simon. But easily and best placed we believe as a coffee table. France, c1950s. Originally designed by legendary designer Perriand for the 'cite Cansado' Mauritania project and subsequently retailed in Paris with Steph Simon. A thirteen slat model, 190 W. An authentic piece, with some historical repairs and wear commensurate with age. Original unusual screws are evidenced on the underside. Location: London Gallery.
