About this vintage design furniture

This set of 2 large " Uchiwa I " wall lamps was designed by Ingo Maurer (1932 - 2019) for his own company Design M in Munich. These Uchiwa lamps were only hand-crafted from 1973 - 1975 in small quantities. We acquired this set of lamps from a former employee of M Design. Both pieces are in original condition, still featuring all original details. Ingo Maurer's design was a reminiscence to the classic Uchiwa fans from Japan. The lamps are made from bamboo and rice paper with a triple bulb installation (3x 75 W). Reference : 248634
